Overgrown
This series of collages hold moments and memories I have experienced through a lens. The digital fabrication and sharing of these products are a direct hypocrisy of their intended purpose of expressing my internal struggles and anger at being a part of the virtually connected world. This discourse is one that many of us deal with and traverse daily; how distracting and damaging this online social space can be, yet at the same time how necessary it is and how much it has become a real part of our habitual daily routines of communication, creation, memory, and survival.
(These collages merge my digital photography and illustrations. They were created in Procreate and Photoshop)
Illustrated Connections
Titled after my original cartooning name, below is a large collection of collages which are now a heavy part of my artistic practice. These mind maps bring my simplest and most complex ideas together through the process of mark-making, cartooning, blueprinting, wordplay and doodling. These excerpts are from both my digital journals and my physical ones, a meeting place where together, in messy cohesion, a dialogue can hopefully take place between conceptual thought, brainstorming, play and learning through illustrated connections.
(collages mix both analogue and digital components and were compiled in Procreate and Photoshop)
